Dr. Meyers

Only one person can know who a good person is, and that person is Doctor Meyers. The only one who really can tell what being good is, but everything has to come to an end. “And then one night, Minerva, the poetess/ Came to me in her trouble, crying.” (Masters pg. 24) with the Poetess Minerva Jones left alone after his husband’s death with a child in her womb. She cried herself in his home only he could be the person, who cared the most killed her in an abortion.

Being a good-hearted man Doctor Meyers shows that he tried to help Minerva in any way he could.

Poor soul so sunk in sin he could not see

That even trying to help her, as he called it,

He had broken the law human and divine. (25, Mrs. Meyers)

Even if he accidentally killed and the baby he shows he tried to do the right. Even with that choice making him go to prison for life were her wife died of broken heart. He died by doing the right thing he thought. Even if he could of done it all again probably he might of taken the same path. With only the only thing else to do is to help people who needed he is always there.

The kind person that doctor Meyers was he tried to make every person who came to him for help feel better. For every person there is always good in them and it is always something that good side does . He tried his best at helping but he only help the people that he actually liked. “ And those who could not pay flocked to me./ I was good-hearted, easy Doctor Meyers.” (24) Other than that they were sent to someone else. He the doctor the kind one who was kind enough to ruin his life to try to save a women's life and making her wife die from a broken heart. “ My wife perished of a broken heart.” (24)

For every reason something happens there is always something after it, its always as cause and effect. Everything that we do there is always something good or bad but as for Doctor Meyers situation it was something bad that could not be taken back.
